Unblock smart card
Allows a security blocked smart card to be unblocked.


If a smart card user has incorrectly entered the card's PIN number the same amount of times as the card's "Max. incorrect PIN entries" ControlMAX rule, then it will be blocked (temporarily disabled from both use and further attempts to enter the PIN).

Please note that it is only necessary to unblock a card if the "Max. incorrect PIN entries" ControlMAX rule is reached, not between PIN lockouts. For further information on ControlMAX rules, see change ControlMAX settings. Alternatively, contact our Service Team on (01922) 704455 between 9:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

Unblocking the Card
You simply need to specify the site or sites to transmit the unblock request to. If the card's account has any Own Yard sites that allow ControlMAX Updates, there will also be an option to transmit the unblock request to all of those own yard sites.

If the card's account does not have any Own Yard sites, or you would additionally like to transmit the unblock request to sites on the Keyfuels network, you can choose up to 5 network sites to send them to.
