Add new sub account
Sub accounts can be created at any level of your account structure.
The account that will control your new sub account will be displayed at the top of the page. Please take care to add sub accounts to the correct level of your account structure as mistakes are difficult to rectify. The accuracy of the details that we hold about each account is paramount.
- Account name (30 chars.) - the name that will be displayed in efuels, on reports etc.
- Embossed name (21 chars.) - the name to use as the first line of embossed text on each of the cards operated by this account (usually the same as the account name)
- Short name (12 chars.) - a shortened version of your account name, to be used for searches within efuels. This is typically set to the first 12 characters from the account name.
Postcode validation
A valid UK postcode must be entered for the new sub account. A valid UK postcode is a combination of between five and seven letters/numbers and a space, for example:

The following notes also need to be considered:
- Q, V and X cannot be used in the first position.
- I, J and Z cannot be used in the second position.
- Only A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, S, T, U and W can be used in the third position.
- Only A, B, E, H, M, N, P, R, V, W, X and Y can be used in the fourth position.
- The second half of the postcode (following the space) is always a consistent numeric, letter, letter format (#AA) and the letters C, I, K, M, O and V cannot be used.
Zero Liability
If Zero Liability is available for the new account, a check box will be displayed. Placing a tick in this check box will cover the new account against any unauthorised fuel drawings once a card has been reported lost or stolen.
Once you have created the new sub account, you will be taken to the account details display for the new account.
Please note that it is considered best practice to create your account ControlMAX defaults at this point (if required) prior to the creating any cards.
